At the same time, the world's ability to help is under real strain — funding is tighter and reaching people in the most dangerous or hard-to-access places is getting harder.
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) believes that when others step back, we have all the more reason to stand firm: to keep showing up for people who have been forced to flee their homes, especially those the rest of the world has stopped paying attention to.
This document describes NRC’s strategy for the period 2027–2030.
Over the next four years, we're focusing on three things: delivering the highest-quality help where it's needed most, even in the toughest places to reach; backing local organisations and communities so they can lead the response in the places they know best; and making sure every donation, every partnership and every programme goes further, so more people get the support they need to rebuild their lives.
