The number of displaced people has reached 117,8 million, the second highest ever recorded. In response, we directly assisted 10,6 million people across 39 countries in 2025.
In 2025, NRC’s total annual income was USD 859.9 million (NOK 8.9 billion), which represents a 4 per cent decrease in NOK compared to 2024.

Top donors in 2025
- Norway (The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs) donated 16.7 per cent of our income.
- The former USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance donated 14 per cent of our total income.
- The European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) donated 13.1 per cent of our total income.
- The Swedish Internationl Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) donated 6.6 per cent of our income.
- The UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) donated 5.4 per cent of our income.
- NRC also implemented a significant amount of in-kind assistance provided by the World Food Programme (WFP).

Our work in 2025
In 2025, thanks to our donors, we reached more than 10 million people across 39 countries. Our programmes concentrated on six activities in the field:

NRC is a signatory of the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI), which aims to make information about international aid easier to find, use, and understand. We publish information through IATI on a quarterly basis.
