Four key challenges affecting the entire humanitarian sector

In collaboration with the Boston Consulting Group, NRC just finalised a 6 month internal study on Donor Conditionalities. Among the findings, there are four significant sectoral findings that we believe are relevant for the entire Humanitarian Sector.

Through a series of internal workshops (bringing field and head office expertise together) and quantified analysis, NRC conducted an X Ray of its entire work with its main funding partners. The aim of this study was to underline good practices, identify challenges in Donor's contracts or regulations and quantify the impact of those challenges on the assistance that NRC can deliver to the most vulnerable.

In the light of the World Humanitarian Summit and Grand Bargain discussions, we are very happy to share these findings and believe that they will be a valuable input to the debate on future humanitarian architecture.
