The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is working together with Eid Charity to promote education for children and youth worldwide.

Aiming to collaborate on and expand their projects on education and development initiatives worldwide, NRC recently signed a global Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Eid bin Mohammad Al Thani Charitable Association (Eid Charity).

“We are pleased to announce our global partnership with Eid Charity. This strategic partnership lays the foundation for an effective expansion of our humanitarian and development activities for displaced populations worldwide. Launching this new partnership via our collaboration with NRC Jordan, we will jointly ensure that Syrian refugees have the opportunity to learn and lead a dignified life,” said NRC Gulf Director, Abeer Shubassi.

During NRC’s visit to Doha, NRC’s Jordan Country Director also signed a grant agreement totalling 1.3 million USD directed to promoting access to education for 3,550 Syrian refugee children and youth living in refugee camps and host communities in Jordan.

“NRC’s comprehensive education approach ensures that Syrian refugee children and youth have access to quality education in a protective environment. NRC’s activities combine formal educational approaches with life-skills training and recreational activities to empower the children and youth, create space for personal development and foster a culture of trust and respect,” said NRC Jordan Country Director, Petr Kostohryz.
