The Nabni - Building for Peace (B4P) is a fund management Facility that supports locally led peace-oriented reconstruction processes in conflict-impacted communities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Hosted by the Norwegian Refugee Council, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through KfW Development Bank, Nabni finances and supports local civil society organisations in the promotion and strengthening of peace through partner-led projects on infrastructure rehabilitation, livelihoods, good governance and social cohesion. Nabni is seeking a Learning and Global Engagement Partner to collaborate on advancing learning, policy influence and global engagement around post-conflict reconstruction, localisation and peacebuilding thematic areas , with a focus in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA).
This mutually beneficial partnership will result in a number of deliverables including: (1) co-production of learning and policy outputs (case studies, thematic analyses, etc.) and evidence-based insights to inform sector-wide learning, policy and practice; (2) co-convening of learning, dissemination or policy-oriented events and (3) joint participation in relevant global, regional or national policy and practice fora for policy and learning. The partnership is expected to run for an initial 18 months, with the possibility of renewal based on mutual interest, results and availability of funding.
Eligible applicants include think tanks, academic institutions, NGOs, and other organisations with strong expertise and networks in the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, peacebuilding, localisation and post-conflict recovery in MENA (with a specific interest in Iraq, Yemen and Syria). The Learning and Engagement Partner is expected to enjoy a strong and reputation, be a recognised thought leader and convenor with demonstrated connections to relevant policy, donor and practitioner networks, particularly in relation to the MENA region and the thematic areas outlined above.
