NRC|Published 01. Oct 2011
This document presents a summary of the Nansen Conference, hosted by the Norwegian government in partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and the Centre for Climate and Environmental Research, and attended by civil society, authorities, scientists, and humanitarian and development practitioners.

This paper also proposes a set of principles, inspired by the climate of the conference and legacy of Fridtjof Nansen himself, to guide future responses to some of the urgent and complex challenges raised by displacement in the context of climate change.
