This thematic report produced by the Norwegian refugee Council (NRC) provides an overview of the conflict in Colombia, a complex and deep-rooted affair, with violence lasting over 40 years and more than four million displaced in one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world.

The report offers a background of the conflict, and turns to those displaced by the conflict before focusing on more vulnerable groups of women, children and minorities. The international context and violations of Colombian national law is then presented, followed by NRC recommendations to be taken at the local, national, and international level.
