This report presents findings from a survey on resilience undertaken in south central Somalia. The results reflect a community baseline performed by the consortium ‘Building Resilient Communities in Somalia’ (BRCiS) between August and October 2014.

The aim of the consortium is to enhance the resilience of vulnerable communities in South and Central Somalia to shocks and recurrent hazards for an initial period of four years.

Funding for BRCiS was provided by the Department for International Development (DFID) of the British government. BRCiS is composed of five international NGOs: Concern Worldwide (CWW), Cooperazione e Sviluppo (Cesvi), International Rescue Committee (IRC), Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), and Save the Children International (SCI).
