Challenges and obstacles related to accessing housing, land and property rights in the Central African Republic

The report is based on secondary data review and primary data collection during 2025. It provides concrete recommendations for the government, donors, and humanitarian and development actors to improve access to housing, land and property (HLP) rights within the existing national policies.

Furthermore, the report aims to promote and strengthen initiatives undertaken with a durable solutions lens in certain areas of the CAR affected by displacement, particularly the Mambéré-Kadei prefecture and the Mambéré province.
