Position paper
Governments across the Horn and East Africa are tentatively relaxing some of the restrictions on movement and public gatherings put in place to limit the spread of Covid-19.
As these restrictions are lifted, or re-imposed, promoting and maintaining strong, ecologically sound, local food systems will be critical to ensuring food and nutrition security of vulnerable populations, especially as the longer-term impacts of the virus take effect.
