From recognition to action: messages for COP24

COP 24 represents a unique opportunity for parties to move from recognition of climate change-related human mobility (migration, displacement, planned relocation), to concrete action.

As parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) meet at the 24th Conference in Poland (COP24), the Advisory Group on Climate Change and Human Mobility, with contributions from other civil society and UN organisations, developed key recommendations and messages on what should states do to avert, minimize and address displacement related to the adverse impacts of climate change
