Uganda Work Rights, Small Business and Negotiations Training Manual: A Practical Guide for Facilitators

Workers may not know their rights, how to negotiate a fair wage, or what to do when an employer treats them unfairly. Small business owners face their own challenges: unreliable suppliers, landlord disputes, customers who don't pay, and the maze of registration and licensing requirements.

This training manual gives facilitators the practical tools to run sessions on all of it. It covers work rights under Ugandan law, workplace and business negotiation skills, and the basics of registering and operating a small business.

Sessions are designed for groups of around 20 people, use case studies drawn from real situations across Uganda, and can be adapted for refugee settlements or urban settings.
