More than eight years have passed since a major influx of Rohingya refugees arrived in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, seeking safety and protection. Today, 1.2 million refugees live in 33 highly congested camps across the district, making it one of the largest and most densely populated refugee settlements in the world.
