REAP is a global initiative bringing together actors from the humanitarian, development and climate sectors to strengthen the capacity to act ahead of crises and disasters.

NORCAP is REAP's 100th partner and is looking forward to contributing to their work supporting the resilience of vulnerable people and strenghtening early warning systems and early action.

Through the partnership, NORCAP will work to:

  • Facilitate expert assignments to governments, regional bodies and international actors to support the scale-up of early warning and anticipatory action.
  • Strengthen knowledge exchange between NORCAP experts and the broader REAP network.
  • Contribute to REAP working groups and knowledge products where relevant.
  • Promote good practice and advocacy messages developed through the partnership.
  • Provide relevant contacts and connections with governments and stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in coordination spaces within the network.

“We are excited to engage actively in REAP. This partnership represents an important step in NORCAP’s work on climate risks, early warning and anticipatory action, offering a valuable platform to collaborate with UN agencies, governments, and civil society”, says Executive Director, Benedicte Giæver.
