About NRC Sweden

NRC Sweden (Insamlingsstiftelsen NRC Flyktinghjälpen Sverige) is the Swedish fundraising foundation of the Norwegian Refugee Council; a global humanitarian organisation headquartered in Oslo. NRC supports people forced to flee conflict, disaster and persecution.

As a fundraising foundation, NRC Sweden does not implement humanitarian programmes itself. Its purpose is to raise funds from donors in Sweden and channel them to NRC's humanitarian operations, helping people affected by conflict and crisis across the countries where NRC operates.

Through its communications, the NRC Sweden raises awareness of humanitarian crises among the Swedish public and the media. This helps build understanding of displacement and support for people forced to flee, while also supporting its fundraising efforts. It shares stories from NRC's operations, explains the causes and consequences of displacement, engages with the media, is active on social media, and publishes an Annual Report and an Impact Report.

NRC Sweden holds a 90-account (90-konto), issued by Svensk Insamlingskontroll, which audits the organisation to ensure that funds raised are used for their intended purpose. NRC Sweden is also a member of Giva Sverige, the Swedish association for non-profit fundraising organisations.
