This report discusses the main findings of a research project commissioned by the Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) project of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in the Central African Republic (CAR).

Since the end of 2012, the Central African Republic (CAR) has been facing an increasingly complex political and humanitarian crisis.

In addition to extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, torture and sexual violence, the crisis has also led to numerous violations of housing, land and property (HLP) rights.

This research has been funded by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
