In the shadow of war in Sudan

The war in Sudan broke out in April 2023. A war that has contributed to creating one of the world's largest displacement crises, yet has been overshadowed by other conflicts.

Nearly 25 million people need humanitarian assistance. and millions of people have been forced to flee their homes. An estimated 7.3 million people have been displaced within the country since mid-April 2023 and two million more have crossed the border into neighbouring countries.

  • We offer protection assistance to people who have just arrived.
  • We have secured access to clean water and established latrines.
  • We provide legal aid to help people recover lost civil documentation and psychosocial support to help children recover from traumatic experiences and stress.
