Education for displaced children and young people
Education can save lives and give hope for the future in a crisis. NRC builds schools and classrooms, trains teachers, provides suitable educational material and ensures that schools have the equipment they need.
“When Stars Are Scattered”
Order the book “When Stars Are Scattered” through Amazon. The book is about Omar and his little brother growing up in the Kenyan refugee camp of Dadaab.
With its personal anecdotes and bright illustrations, the book is a great tool for talking to children about how life is for people forced to flee. It is also a great resource for young people and adults, giving an honest reflection of a childhood that is guaranteed to change the way you think.
