Neglected displacement crises

The media chooses what you hear. And they are neglecting to tell you about some of the worst displacement crises in the world.
Updated 18. Apr 2024

How many articles have you seen published about the world’s biggest displacement crisis in Sudan? Or the severe hunger crisis sweeping through the resource-rich Democratic Republic of the Congo? How often do you hear journalists reference the number of people who rely on aid in the Sahel?

When information about these crises doesn’t reach you, it’s easier for global leaders to ignore. And it’s much harder for humanitarian organisations, like the Norwegian Refugee Council, to attract funding to support those in need. As a result, millions of people suffer in silence.

We’re here to tell you about the crises no one is talking about.

Voices from neglected crises
