“My husband had gone to the diamond minefield, where they were informed about the Seleka [armed group] attack in our village."

"As soon as the husbands returned from the field, they were attacked and killed. My house and all my crops were burned. I lost everything. That’s why I decided to flee. I fled for one week and three days by foot [120 km] and, in all the villages I walked through, people gave me food to eat. I will never return to Berberati, because I have no husband anymore.”
